This was inspired by the history of Affreca, the daughter of Godfred Olafsson ruler of the Kingdom of the Isles. Affreca married the Norman knight John de Courcy in circa 1180.
She was the motiviating force behind the construction of several beautiful Ecclesiastical buildings including Grey Abbey in Co. Down.
